My name is Edgar Holman, Jr. and I presently serve as the principal of Drew Hunter Middle School in Drew, MS. I joined the Drew School District in the fall of 2010 as the principal of Drew High School. After two successful academic years, the high school portion of the school merged with Ruleville Central High School and Drew High School became Drew Hunter Middle School.

The faculty and staff of Drew Hunter Middle School are dedicated to making the students at Drew Hunter Middle School the very best they can possibly be. This concept is embedded in our slogan: Drew Hunter Middle School, One Faculty…..One Focus, “Preparing our students to be the best they can be”. We are using every available resource at our disposal, which includes, but is not limited to, dedicated faculty and staff members, PTA, Community Groups, extensive technology and the Mississippi Department of Education.

We strive to be a school that our community and school district can be proud of. We want our students to feel safe, happy and cared for. When you enter our school, it is important to us that the visitor feels the warm spirit of caring and an atmosphere that is conducive to learning.

I want to thank our students, who are dear to us, the faculty and staff for their unwavering dedication, the Sunflower County School District for its support, and the parents and community for entrusting us with the opportunity to become a vital component in helping to shape the lives of our students.

God bless,

Edgar Holman, Jr., Ed. S.
